History
Vereshchaginsky plant for repair of track machines and production of spare parts was founded in 1961 on the basis of a steam locomotive depot, which existed since 1902 .
Since January 4, 1999, the plant was reorganized into the subsidiary state unitary enterprise “Vereshchaginsky Plant for Repair of Track Machines and Production of Spare Parts” of the State Unitary Enterprise Kaluga Plant “Remputmash”.
Since October 1, 2003, the Vereshchaginsky Tracking Machine Repair and Spare Parts Manufacturing Plant became a branch of Russian Railways.
Since January 1, 2006 - OJSC “Vereshchaginsky Plant“ Remputmash “for repair of track machines and production of spare parts”; Since March 20, 2018 - JSC “Vereshchaginsky Plant" Remputmash "for repair of track machines and production of spare parts."
Holding
Kalugaputmash (part of the Sinara-Transport Machines holding) acquired 75% minus two shares of RPM Group (Kaluga Remputmash Plant). Earlier, in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated February 11, 2014 No. 174-r and the decision of the Board of Directors of Russian Railways dated May 24, 2018, Russian Railways held a tender to sell a controlling stake.
Products
The plant specializes in the repair of track snowplows and freight cars of various types, the manufacture of self-propelled snowplows , spare parts for rolling stock and consumer goods.
