The software package includes access to synchronized resources through a web browser and cross-platform application. A competitor to Syncplicity is Microsoft's Live Mesh service , launched on April 21, 2008 . [one]

Syncplicity provides 10 GB of free disk space on the server. Also, there is no need to constantly keep both computers turned on, synchronization occurs after turning on.

The formats .url, .m4p, .m4a are not supported [2] due to the fact that these files can be used by several applications at once.
