Tarragona ( Spanish: provincia de Tarragona , Cat. Província de Tarragona ) - a province in the north-east of Spain as part of the autonomous community of Catalonia . The administrative center is Tarragona . Tarragona borders the provinces of Castellon (province) , Teruel (province) , Zaragoza (province) , Lleida (province) ( Spanish Lérida ), Barcelona (province) , and the Mediterranean Sea . In 2002, 631,156 people lived in the province, of which about one fifth were in the capital, the city of Tarragona.
