Flag of Shushensky

“A rectangular green cloth with a width-to-length ratio of 2: 3, carrying a white stripe along the top edge, the edge of which is cut out in the form of a broken line and forms three identical protrusions on the green side; on the main, green part of the cloth, in the middle are reproduced the yellow figures of two dancing cranes; on the strip, above the middle ledge, a red eight-beam star from the emblem of the settlement. ”

The description of the previous flag, approved by the decision of the Shushenskoye Settlement Council of Deputies dated June 19, 2008 No. 60-179 ^[2] , stated: broken line and forms three identical protrusion on the green side; on the main green part of the cloth, in the middle are reproduced the yellow figures of two dancing cranes; on the strip above the middle protrusion - the upper half of a six-rayed star with small rays in between. "

The flag is based on the emblem of the settlement.

The settlement of Shushenskoye was founded in the 40s of the 18th century by the first Russian explorers. The place was not chosen by chance - the mouth of the river Shushi , which flows into the Yenisei , was a favorable place for defense, the rivers became reliable transportation arteries. Nature favored the development of agriculture, which became the main occupation of the locals. And today the village of Shushenskoye is the center of a large agricultural region. The use of the green flag on the flag is a symbol of nature, youth, health, and life growth, reflecting the agricultural orientation of the development of the municipal economy.

The natural wealth of the region is reflected in the flag by figures of dancing cranes, here are the State Sayano-Shushensky natural biosphere reserve and the National Park " Shushensky Bor ". Cranes have long been considered a symbol of well-being, because they live only in a calm and peaceful environment. One of the favorite places of Shushentsi was the place Crane Hill - a local natural landmark.

Trehgorye reminds that the village is located in the foothills of the Western Sayans - a mountainous country in southern Siberia.

Since the 1920s, Shushenskoye became widely known as the place of three years (1897–1900) Siberian exile of V. I. Lenin . In 1930, the House Museum of V. I. Lenin was opened here, which was later transformed first - Reserve "Siberian exile V. I. Lenin", and later in the historical and ethnographic museum-reserve "Shushenskoye". On the flag, it is symbolically represented by a stylized red star.

Red color is a symbol of work, courage, strength, beauty and celebration.

Yellow ( gold ) is a symbol of harvest, wealth, stability, sunlight, respect and intelligence.

White color ( silver ) is a symbol of purity and perfection, peace and understanding.
