Content
Geography
The village is located on the right bank of the Sunkhayakhk river, southeast of the Shatoy district center.
The nearest settlements: in the north - the village of Hal-Kiloy , in the northeast - the village of Sharo-Argun , in the north-west - the villages of Musolt-Aul and Benoy [3] .
History
In 1944 , after the deportation of Chechens and Ingush and the liquidation of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the village of Sanoi was renamed Nagornoye and settled by people from neighboring Dagestan [4] . After the restoration of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1957, the village was returned to its former name Sanaa, and the Dagestanis were resettled back to Dagestan.
