Description
“A rectangular blue cloth with an aspect ratio of 2: 3, bearing along the lower edge a red wavy strip in 1/6 of the width, separated by a narrow yellow wavy strip in 1/40 of the width of the panel, and in the roof are yellow figures from the coat of arms of the city: three fan-shaped diverging rays and the sign of the atom in the form of three interlaced threadlike elongated rings surrounding the circle. "
Justification of Symbols
The flag composition is based on the idea of Zelenogorsk - the city of atomic scientists. The whole history of the city is inextricably linked with the development of the nuclear production complex, nuclear engineering, the production of weapons-grade plutonium, isotopes, uranium separation production - which is reflected by the sign of “peaceful atom”.
In addition, the circle, as one of the most widely used figures - a symbol of eternity, perfection, the continuous development of the universe, allegorically conveys the concentration of mental, intellectual, physical forces of a person.
Three diverging rays allegorically symbolize the desire to go higher, to perfection, and at the same time, the symbolism of the three rays is ambiguous:
- the number “three” in itself is a perfect number (trinity, triple union) and means the focus of integrity;
- the power of the three is universal and personifies the three-part nature of the world: heaven, earth, water;
- three rays figuratively show an element of the entrance stele, symbolizing, according to the plan of the architects, a tamed peaceful atom in the palms of hands.
Yellow color (gold) is a symbol of the highest value, wealth, greatness, constancy, strength, strength, generosity, intelligence and sunlight.
The blue part of the flag allegorically shows the geographical location of the city on the Kahn River and allegorically conveys the beauty of nature surrounding the city. Blue color (light blue) is a symbol of beauty, truth, honor and virtue.
The red wavy part of the banner figuratively conveys the ethnic name of the taiga river: kan - “blood”. Red color is a symbol of energy, strength, love, courage.
