The flag was approved on May 26, 2006 and entered into the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with the assignment of registration number 2374.
Description
"The flag of the city of Achinsk is a rectangular red cloth with a width-to-length ratio of 2: 3, which represents an image of a white quiver with yellow arrows located obliquely from the shaft to the free edge and passed through a yellow bow with a smaller inclination from the free edge to the shaft."
Symbolization Justification
The flag of the city of Achinsk was designed in view of the coat of arms , which is a reconstruction of the historical coat of arms, approved by the highest on March 17 (28), 1785 , the original description of which reads
At the top of the shield is the coat of arms of Tobolsk. At the bottom, in a red field, a bow and a quiver for arrows, as a sign that the inhabitants of Siberia who live in this district, these people use these weapons.
Flag shapes also highlight the city’s rich historical heritage. The process of the formation of the city in the initial period is associated with the protection of the borders of the state, the struggle for preservation and survival. To protect against nomads who raided the local and Russian population in 1641, the first Achinsk burg was laid by voivod Tukhachevsky.
The modern city of Achinsk is one of the largest cities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory with a developed industrial sector, having a well-developed transport network. The city continues to develop, carefully preserving the monuments of antiquity and age-old traditions.
