Biography
A.D. Vologin was born on October 8, 1924 in the village of Pechersk, now in the Syzran District of the Samara Region, into a peasant family [1] . After graduating from high school, he worked as a turner apprentice at the Pervomaisky asphalt plant [1] .
In 1942 he was drafted into the Red Army [1] . For the first time he participated in battles during the counterattack of the Soviet army at the Kursk Bulge [1] .
In early August 1943, in the battles for Dmitrovsk-Orlovsky, Vologin suppressed a counterattack of a Nazi platoon by firing a machine gun [1] . Despite a splinter wound by a broken mine , the junior sergeant Vologin remained in battle formation for several days while battles were fought for Dmitrovsk-Orlovsky [1] . The machine-gun crew of Vologin destroyed several dozen enemy soldiers and officers [1] .
The machine-gunner Vologin took part in forcing the Desna , Dream , Sozh rivers, covering the offensive of the Soviet troops with machine-gun fire [1] .
For several days there were battles in the area between the Sozh and the Dnieper [1] . On October 17, 1943, near the village of Rudnya Kamenev, the Nazis sent tanks and fresh reinforcements against the paratroopers [1] . The fighters fought back when a projectile exploded near the machine gunner Vologin, the fragments of which he was mortally wounded [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 15, 1944, the guard of the junior sergeant Alexander Dmitrievich Vologin was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union

Memory
In the city of Oktyabrsk, Samara Region, a street and a secondary school are named after A. Vologin [1] . A memorial plaque is installed on the house where he lived, and a monument next to the boarding school [1] .
In the town of Polotsk, Vitebsk Region of the Republic of Belarus, a street is named after A. Vologin.
A memorial plaque in memory of Vologin was installed by the Russian Military Historical Society on the building of school No. 5 of the city of Oktyabrsk, where he studied.
By the order of the Minister of Defense of the USSR A.D. Vologin was forever enlisted in the lists of the personnel of the military unit [1] .
