Tbilisi Shiite Mosque ( Georgian. თბილისის შიიტური მეჩეთი , Azeri. Tiflis şiə məscidi ) is the largest mosque in Tbilisi .

History
It was built by Shah Ismail I in 1522-1524. [one]
The mosque was depicted in many landscapes of Tiflis by such famous artists as Luigi Premazzi , Karl Wittke, Nikanor Chernetsov . [2]
It was the largest mosque in the Caucasus [1] . In 1951, it was demolished during the construction of the new Metekhi bridge .
