PEZ (from it. PfeffErminZ - peppermint ) - sweets consisting of a mechanical batcher- toys and actually candy lozenges, which are popular all over the world. The brand is owned by Ed. Haas International . Candies were first produced in Austria in 1927 [1] , and dispensers were invented in 1948 [2] . Pastilles have the shape of a rounded rectangle , uniform in weight , have different tastes. Dyes are not used in classic Pez sweets, with the exception of a separate Pez sweets - Sour Mix. The classic toy contains 12 lozenges.

In the early 2000s, PEZ dispensers with two Packs of Pez are sold for about $ 1-5. [2] Some early PEZ dispensers with original or rare form are collectibles [3] [4] .
PEZ have been produced since 1972 at a factory in Orange, Connecticut [2] . In the 2010s, production was estimated at approximately 12 million sweets per day, for which 5.5 tons of sugar are used. The consumption of these sweets in the United States is estimated at 3 billion per year [5] . Sales of dispensers according to the manufacturer exceed 65 million per year. Near the factory there is a museum with more than 5 thousand exhibits [6] .
