Biography
Born in the large family of General Alexei Illarionovich Filosofov and Anna Stolypin.
Pupil of the Corps of Pages . He began his service at the age of eighteen with the cornet of the Life Guards Mounted Regiment . Three years later he entered the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff . After completing the course, he returned to service in the ranks of his regiment, and two years later he was appointed adjutant governor of the Caucasus, Grand Duke Mikhail Nikolayevich .
In 1867 he was promoted to colonel, several years later he was appointed chief of staff of the troops of the Terek region, with admission to the General Staff. In 1875, he was promoted to major general, with the appointment of the 3rd brigade of the 3rd guards infantry division as the head of the 2nd brigade, and before the beginning of the Eastern war , the head of the 1st brigade of the same division.
On December 16, 1877, with his echelon, he climbed through the Balkans near the village of Vrachesh and finished it on the morning of December 17. December 19 was the general reserve on the Sofia highway.
On December 21, he was seriously wounded during the persecution of the Turks, who retreated from Arabaconac . He died on the same day in Orhaniye . The body was transported to Russia and buried in the cemetery of the village of Izsad, Novoladozhsky district, St. Petersburg province
