Flag of Svirsk

"A rectangular panel with a width-to-length ratio of 2: 3, carrying a red strip along the top edge bounded by sharp white teeth (overall width of the strip with teeth is 4/9 width of the cloth; width without teeth is 1/3), and in the middle of the main blue part , unoccupied - a loaded boat of the coat of arms reproduced in yellow, black, white and gray colors ”.

The flag was developed on the basis of the coat of arms of the city ​​of Svirsk.

Svirsk is located on the Irkutsk-Cheremkhovo Plain, on the left bank of the Angara River . City status Svirsk received in 1949. Now it is a young, dynamic small cozy town, which is famous for its industrial enterprises.

The Angara River has always played a huge role in the life of the local population, and since the Svir River Port was commissioned in 1967 , the city has become one of the most important reloading hubs in Eastern Siberia. The main purpose of the port is the transportation of coal mined in the Cheremkhovo open pit. The image on the flag in the blue field of a boat loaded with coal reflects the importance of the port in the economy not only of Svirsk, but of the whole region. Gear complements the overall symbolism of the flag, focusing on industry and engineering.

Anchor - a symbol of stability, hope, confidence.

Since 1940, the city began the production of chemical current sources, batteries. For 2009 it is one of the largest industries of the Svirsk industry. On the flag, a battery factory producing chemical current sources is allegorically reflected in red, white and blue stripes of cloth, the dentate division resembling the image of a lightning, complements the symbolism.

A strip similar in shape to the teeth of the saw indicates a wood processing plant.

Yellow (gold) is a symbol of wealth, stability, respect and intelligence.

White color (silver) is a symbol of purity, perfection, peace and understanding.

Red color is a symbol of labor, strength, courage, energy and beauty.
