Konstantin Aleksandrovich Prokhorov (born in 1924 ) is a Soviet Ukrainian and Russian painter. People's Artist of the Russian Federation ( 2011 ). Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR ( 1960 ).

Biography
Born on December 20, 1924 in the village of Karavaevo ( Petushinsky district, Vladimir region ).
Education: Palekh Art College , Ivanovo Art School , Simferopol Art College named after N.S. Samokish (Crimea), correspondence department of the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin of the USSR Academy of Arts in Leningrad.
Member of the Great Patriotic War , has government awards.
Creativity
In 1948, K. A. Prokhorov was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR . 1949 - 1954 he taught at the Simferopol Art College. N. S. Samokish . In 1955 - 1965 he headed the Crimean regional branch of the Union of Artists of Ukraine . 1958 - 1973 - creative trips around the country and abroad, the result of which were new paintings on the nature and people of Siberia and the Trans-Urals , the Vologda region and the Arkhangelsk Territory. In 1974, the artist and his family moved from Crimea to the Moscow Region and settled near the city of Dmitrov . Here he is actively involved in the artistic and social life of the Moscow Regional Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia , creatively and fruitfully working on his new works.
K. A. Prokhorov takes an active part in city, regional, republican and all-Union art exhibitions, as well as exhibitions and sales of works by Russian artists in Poland , Hungary , Japan , Holland , and Germany . The works of K. A. Prokhorov are in museum collections in Russia and abroad.
