Savonia University of Applied Sciences ( fin. Savonia-ammatikorkeakoulu ; also known as Savonia Polytechnic Institute, Savonia Polytechnic University ) is a polytechnic university in the northern province of Finland Pohjois Savo (North Savo) in the cities of Varkaus , Kuopio and Iisalmi . Studying at the University of Applied Sciences Savonia combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Upon graduation, you can get an academic bachelor 's degree . Duration of study varies from 3.5 to 4 years (210-240 ECTS ). The training consists of various courses that represent various types of studies, such as lectures, design and laboratory work, seminars, and studies. The student himself determines for himself a study plan. Programs consist of basic, vocational training, practice and diploma writing.

The University of Applied Sciences Savonia annually offers international bachelor's degree programs in English. The goal of these programs is to provide students with a quality education in English. More than 50% of students are from other countries in Europe, America, Asia and Africa. In this way, students form diverse cultural groups. Also, exchange students come to the university every year.

Industrial Management Program
It is a study of knowledge and skills in the field of technology, technology, production, logistics and logistics, business management and marketing of goods and services in an international setting. The purpose of training is to prepare for work as managers, team leaders, consultants, experts needed in the field of industrial production and international business.
Varkaus offers specialization in project management and business management. Specialization "project management" includes the development of new technologies, various products, services and industries. Information Technology Program
The program prepares students for careers in the fields of information technology, electronics, computing, automation and telecommunications. Particular attention is paid to the development of software, computer networks and embedded systems. Graduates can work in the areas of hardware and software, management and operation of factories and enterprises, consulting, technical support and marketing. The graduates' employers of this program are industrial companies, specialized software development companies, companies producing applications in the fields of telecommunications, health and environmental protection, and trading companies in the same areas.
Specialization
The subjects of this curriculum specialize in the development of software in the field of social networks, databases and mobile services. In the field of computer networks, special attention is paid to the study of the design and maintenance of networks and services (wired and wireless network technologies). Embedded systems are also being studied, namely their design, programming, and application development.
University admissions to technical faculties
Admission to the University of Applied Sciences Savonia is possible only for the winter semester (the beginning of studies at the end of August). Recruitment of students to English-speaking faculties usually takes place in January-February.
