Alexander Konstantinovich (d. 1404 ) - Prince of Rostov-Borisoglebsky ( 1365 - 1404 ).
The son of Prince Konstantin Vasilyevich . He took the princely throne in 1365 , immediately after the death of his father, and continuing the latter’s policy towards Moscow — complete obedience to her. In 1375, by order of the Grand Duke of Moscow Dmitry Ivanovich (Donskoy) , he, among other Rostov princes, took part in a punitive campaign against Tver Prince Mikhail Alexandrovich , who, having been defeated, had to recognize the primacy of Moscow. In 1380, together with his regiment, he participated in the Battle of Kulikovo .
Prince Alexander died in June (according to some news of the 9th, according to others - of the 19th) in 1404, before his death he accepted the monastic rank with the name of Andrey. He had three sons: Andrei and Fedor , who ruled after him, and Ivan .
