An alcoholic family is a dysfunctional family united around alcohol consumption by one, several, or all of its members. Other goals, in addition to alcohol consumption, are usually absent, or are limited to maintaining life.
Children in an Alcoholic Family
The child’s psychology in the alcohol family is broken - he is often neglected, beaten by drinking relatives and their drinking buddies, has problems at school and is lagging behind in development. He does not believe promises, since drinkers often do not fulfill them. Often such a child is a formed alcoholic at an early age.
