The gallery contains the richest collection of European painting and sculpture , which covers a significant period from the Renaissance to the post-impressionism , and includes paintings by Vermeer , Rubens , Titian , Tintoretto , Van Dyck , El Greco , Rembrandt , Watteau , Heinsboro , Monet , Gauguin , Pissarro , Cezanne , Scotsman William Aikman and other great artists. It draws the attention of "Arabs playing chess" , a painting by Eugene Delacroix, created in 1847-1848.
