"Rambo III" ( born Rambo III ) is an adventure novel by writer David Morrell , written in 1988 . Like the book “ First Blood. Part 2 ”,“ Rambo III ”is a novelization of the film of the same name. The protagonist of the novel is the Vietnam War veteran John Rambo .

Story
After completing the assignment in Vietnam, Rambo no longer returns to his homeland, but remains in Thailand , where he lives and trains in a Buddhist temple . However, the past does not leave him alone. Colonel Trautman comes to him. In his person, the US government offers Rambo to go on a mission to Afghanistan, where there is a war , but Rambo refuses: he does not want to take up the old thing again. Then Trautman goes to Afghanistan to train the Mujahideen , but is captured by the Soviet troops along the way. Upon learning of this, Rambo immediately goes there to save the only person dear to him.

The film raised $ 53.7 million in the United States alone. He entered the Guinness Book of Records as a film with the maximum amount of violence (more than 108 people die during the whole film). Not recommended for persons under 18 years of age.
