Description
The flag of the Novosheshminsky district is a rectangular panel with a width-to-length ratio of 2: 3, divided horizontally into three stripes: red with a white horizontal image of a sword, white in the form of a battlement wall with masonry, and blue with a white image of a pike. The ratio of the width of the red stripe (without protrusions), the area with toothed protrusions, the white stripe (without protrusions) and the blue stripe - 33: 5: 25: 27.
Symbolization Justification
The flag of the district is developed on the basis of the coat of arms .
The first settlement in Novosheshminsk appeared in 1610 . Here, in order to protect Zakamye from nomadic peoples, in 1652 a military fortress was built, around which settlements appeared (Petropavlovskaya, Ekaterininskaya, Arkhangelskaya, etc.). The population of these settlements were service people, who not only cultivated the land, but also stood on the guard of the state border. Subsequently, they constituted a special class of "arable soldiers." This period in the history of the Novosheshminsky district is reflected on the flag by a fortress wall and a sword. The image of the pike - a symbol of caution, vigilance and protection complements the military symbolism of the area.
The pike also reminds of the richness of the Sheshma River and the lakes (blue field), located on the territory of the district, which allowed the residents to actively engage in fishing.
Silver is a symbol of purity, perfection, peace and understanding.
Red color is a symbol of courage, strength, work, beauty.
Blue, blue color - a symbol of honor, nobility, spirituality.
