Biography
Phoebe was born and raised in France, in a family of Australians. In childhood, she was engaged in dancing, which determined her desire to create her own music. From an early age she was fond of the works of Tom Waits , Art of Noise , Ima Sumak , Nick Cave , etc. She became known to the public in 2004, becoming one of the vocalists of the Nouvelle Vague collective. Phoebe participated in the recording of the band’s second album, “Bande à Part”, and also toured with the band around the world for three years. Prior to that, Kildir collaborated with such notable electronic musicians as Zero dB (song “Sunshine Lazy”) and Basement Jaxx (song “Tonight”, Kish Kash album).
In 2008, Phoebe Killdeer, as part of Phoebe Killdeer & the Short Straws, recorded her first album, Weather's Coming.
