Childhood and school years

Born July 9, 1976 in the city of Moscow .

Father, Konstantin Vasilyevich Gusev - a tailor, mother, Tamara Mikhailovna Guseva, works as the chief inspector in the Administrative and Technical Inspection of the city of Moscow [2] . During her studies at school, Catherine tried many classes - gymnastics , figure skating , swimming , dancing , school theater.

She was going to enter the Moscow Biotechnological Institute , but at one of the school “ skits ” she was noticed by assistant Yevgeny Rubenovich Simonova and offered to try to enter the B.V. Schukin Higher Theater School . In 1993, she entered the course of E.R. Simonov, after the death of Simonov, the course was taught by V.P. Nikolaenko .

Acting career

After receiving her diploma in 1997, she played a major role in Nikolai Lebedev ’s first film “Serpent Spring” and received an offer from Mark Rozovsky to become an actress of his theater “ At the Nikitsky Gate ”.

In June 1999, Catherine made a group of divertissements for the film Leonid Parfyonov `` Living Pushkin '' - the 5-episode saga about the life of the poet A.S. Pushkin on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of his birth.

After working for four years at the Rozovsky Theater, Catherine went to the musical “ Nord-Ost ”. Especially for the role of Katya Tatarinova, she began to take lessons in professional vocals and musical literacy. Preparing for the premiere of "Nord-Ost", Ekaterina Guseva managed to star in Alexey Sidorov 's Brigade series, which brought her all-Russian fame. In the spring of 2002, together with her partner in Nord-Ost Andrei Bogdanov and the play's authors Alexei Ivashchenko and Georgy Vasiliev, Ekaterina Guseva conquered the North Pole , hoisting a flag with autographs of the musical group on it. During this expedition, she sang at a temperature of −40 ° C, this fact was recorded in the Russian Book of Records [3] .

On October 23, 2002, Guseva had a day off at Nord-Ost, but she spent all three days of the attack near the Theater Center on Dubrovka. In February 2003, Ekaterina Guseva again appeared on the scene as Katya Tatarinova in the restored version of the play. When the screenings of the new version of the musical ceased (May 2003), Guseva entered the troupe of the Mossovet Theater , which she is to this day.

Ekaterina Guseva took part in the recording of the discs “Nord-Ost: Favorites” (2002) and “7 Christmas Gifts” (Classical Christmas songs translated by George Vasiliev) ( 2004 ), recorded several songs as a solo singer. In a duet with Leonid Serebrennikov he performs Russian romances . In 2007, she released her first solo disc, Maybe It Will.

She participated in the project of the First Channel “ Stars on Ice ” together with the skater Roman Kostomarov .

Ekaterina Guseva played the main role in the musical Beauty and the Beast , until its closure in April 2010. Also, from November 2011 she played the main role in the musical “ Sounds of Music ” (premiere October 2011) [4] .

In 2004 and 2011, she starred for the Russian version of the men's magazine "Maxim" [5] .

Since August 1, 1996, married to businessman Vladimir Evgenievich Abashkin (born January 24, 1966) - the owner of the art-production company Base-Beauty, which is engaged in the production of decorations for performances, shows and shows.
