Teaching at the Faculty of Education has three goals:
- studying and acquiring a deep understanding of educational processes and the development of innovations that improve the educational process;
- distribution and application of educational innovations to improve education in the country;
- qualified training of staff for a wide range of positions in educational institutions.
The faculty has three goals - and, accordingly, three departments. The faculty conducts training for academic degrees "Bachelor of Arts", "Master of Arts" and "Ph.D.".
Department of Education
Students enrolled in the bachelor of arts degree can choose one of four areas:
- Special education . - Teaching children with learning disabilities: hyperactive, from dysfunctional families, with developmental delays, etc.
In the last classes of Israeli schools, children can choose their specialties and study them in depth, and the rest superficially. The choice of specialties for in-depth study is a very responsible matter, since it can determine the whole future life of a person, and a specialist who helps determine what is most interesting and promising for a child actually decides destinies.

Graduate students studying for the degree of “Master of Arts” can choose one of ten areas:

- Physical culture .
- Bibliotherapy - Treatment through art in general and books in particular.
- Teaching culture and social studies .
- Teaching and human development .
- Teaching technology .
Undergraduate and graduate students can also gain in-depth knowledge and even specialize in the areas of Aesthetic education , Computer use in education , Mathematical education or Education for pre-school age .
Teaching Chair - School Teacher Training
In order to be employed at a school, university graduates must also take special courses and receive a certificate confirming their qualifications as teachers. The faculty of teaching makes it possible to complete these courses.
To obtain a certificate Teacher of the discipline (for example, mathematics, history, English), a third-year student must additionally study two years in this department (teaching department), and holders of a scientific degree additionally study one year. A one-year program is also envisaged for obtaining a certificate. Special education teacher and certificate. Mathematics , Hebrew and English are compulsory subjects in Israeli schools; all graduates are required to pass exams for them, which cannot be canceled.

- Teaching English as a foreign language (in collaboration with the Department of English and Literature).
Department of Educational
Graduates of the department conduct theoretical and applied research related to the diagnosis, treatment and research of educational difficulties. A separate curriculum (in collaboration with the University Research Institute of Brain and Behavior) prepares specialists to study the links between the brain and human behavior.
Advanced Training Section
This department conducts advanced training courses for teachers, school leaders, teachers, counselors in the field of teaching and psychologists working in the field of education. Training time can be from full university courses to one-day seminars and laboratory work.
Centers and Laboratories of the Pedagogical Faculty
- Learning and Teaching Laboratories (Heb.) - provide computer support for the learning process, such as: specialized computer classes, unique learning programs, etc.
- National Center for Mathematics Teachers (Heb.) .
- The Center for Research and Development of Peaceful Tendencies in School Education (eng.) - the center develops school programs aimed at preventing conflicts (mainly the Palestinian-Israeli conflict) at the level of school age.
- The laboratory for students with physical disabilities (Heb.) - is developing tools that facilitate the process of studying at universities for people with disabilities.
