Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics

It began to be published in 1931 instead of the physical part of the Journal of the Russian Physicochemical Society by the USSR Academy of Sciences ^[1] . Now the founders of the journal are the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Physical Problems named after P. L. Kapitsa RAS . Over the years, the editorial staff of the journal was headed by academicians A.F. Ioffe and L.I. Mandelstam (1931-1939), S.I. Vavilov (1939-1951), N.N. Andreev (1951-1955), P. L. Kapitsa (1955-1984), A. S. Borovik-Romanov (1984-1997) ^[2] . Since 1997, the chief editor is academician A.F. Andreev ^[3] . It is published 12 times a year (2 volumes, including 6 issues).

To speed up the publication of information on scientific discoveries, instead of the “Letters to the Editor” section, a separate journal “ Letters to JETP ” began to be published in 1965 (2 volumes a year, 12 volumes in each volume). Since 1956, JETP has been reprinted in the United States in English.

Included in the list of scientific journals of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia .
