Fazil Mamedov was born on March 28, 1964 in the Shamakhi region [1] of the Azerbaijan SSR. In 1985 he graduated from the Finance and Credit Faculty of the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy. D. Buniatzade. From 1987 to 1989, Fazil Mamedov worked at the Industrial and Construction Bank of the Azerbaijan SSR, then as a teacher and head of the Baku Finance and Credit College . In 1993, he became the chairman of the board of the Commercial Bank Unsal, and the following year - the head of the Shamkir branch of the Agrarian-Industrial Bank of Azerbaijan. In the period from 1999 to 2000 he was the head of the Main State Tax Inspectorate of Azerbaijan.
February 11, 2000 [2] By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Main State Tax Inspectorate was transformed into the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan , whose head was Fazil Mamedov.
He is married and has two children.
Advisor to the State Tax Service of the 2nd rank [3] . On December 5, 2017, by decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was removed from his post as minister.
