Description
“The flag of the Svetloyarsky region is a rectangular scarlet cloth with a ratio of width to length 2: 3, reproducing the composition of the coat of arms over the blue stripe along the lower edge of the cloth 1/6 of the total width, separated from the scarlet narrow yellow stripe in 1/20 of the total width” .
Justification of Symbols
The flag was developed on the basis of the coat of arms of the Svetloyarsky region and in the language of allegories and heraldic symbols speaks of the name of the district and reflects the main occupation profile of the local population and the natural features of the vicinity of the region.
The main color of the coat of arms is taken red - a symbol of the sun and warmth, beauty, joy and celebration.
Of great importance in the development of the region is agriculture, on the flag it is symbolically depicted as a golden sheaf. Gold is a symbol of strength, wealth, greatness, intellect and insight. Gold (yellow color) also speaks of the name of the district center - the village of Svetly Yar .
The blue ribbon bandaging the golden sheaf symbolizes the Great Mighty Russian River Volga , as if encircling the fertile lands of the Svetloyarsky region, which is underlined in the flag with a blue stripe along the lower edge of the banner. Blue color is a symbol of honor, devotion, truth.
The region has the largest bischofite deposit in the country. This wealth of the earth is shown in the form of cubic crystals of salt.
Silver in heraldry is a symbol of simplicity, perfection, wisdom, nobility, peace, and mutual cooperation.
