Story

Messing was born in the last year of the XIX century, became one of the main mysterious and fateful personalities of the twentieth century [2] . A boy from a poor Jewish family was forced to start an independent life early. He went to Germany, where he undertook the most dirty work. His supernatural telepathic abilities were discovered quite by accident, by two Jews, under almost mystical circumstances (one of them, the doctor, discovered that the "dead" boy was not dead). They begin to promote it, and Messing holds his first public appearances in the Berlin panopticon. The audience is delighted. Weimar Germany , infringed on the aftermath of the First World War, was a place that attracted charlatans and mystics, great scientists and maniacs.

Soon, the chaos of the Weimar Republic was replaced by the iron system of the Third Reich . And here Messing is in demand as never before. In 1937 , when the Third Reich is at the zenith of its glory, Messing predicts a “millennial Reich” a swift and inglorious ending in the event of an attack on the East . Believing in its own prediction, with Hitler's capture of Poland, Messing crosses the border of the Soviet Union . So life was divided into two equal halves.

In the Soviet Union, Wolf Messing is listed as a hypnotist and magician, is both an experimenter and an experimental, and unofficially becomes a stargazer of Stalin himself. He kept secrets that there was no one to share with, secrets that died with him.

Criticism

In general, the plot of the film is completely based on the legendary and authentically unconfirmed biography of Messing. Shown are meetings (which, most likely, weren’t in reality) with Einstein , Freud , Hitler and Stalin , an allegedly escaped Messing escape from a German prison by hypnotizing guards, etc., was noted, which was noted by many critics of the film [3] [4 ] ] [5] [6] . In addition, the film has many historical and visual inaccuracies, including the very date of Messing's birth.
