Lomnický Štít [2] ( Slovak: Lomnický štít ) is a mountain in the High Tatras . Its height above sea level is 2634 m. The name of the mountain comes from the town of Tatranska Lomnica at its foot. Shtit in Slovak means “shield”, “peak”, “peak”.

Previously, the mountain was often called "Dedo" (grandfather) and considered it the highest mountain of the High Tatras.
At the top of the mountain is the Lomnicky Shtit Observatory.
