Puppies are almost black and change color with age.
Character
Silky Terrier is a cheerful companion, strongly attached to the owner and loves children. The hunting instinct inherent in terriers makes it an excellent rat-catcher. The terrier is pugnacious. But despite its moving character, the Australian silky terrier is obedient, balanced, has good contact with a person, affectionate and intelligent. This is a very clean dog, well adapted to living indoors, subject to frequent and long walks.
Care
The hair of a terrier dog requires regular brushing two to three times a week with a brush with soft bristles or a puffer. You should also comb out the possible tangles of wool with a conventional metal comb to prevent the formation of tangles. In the absence of proper care, mats and felted hair can cause discomfort for the dog and skin problems. You should cut the claws at least once a month and wash the dog with shampoo every 4-6 weeks [3] .
