Wide Track
The two lines connecting Slovakia with Ukraine have a track gauge of 1,520 mm.
- Uzhhorod - Kosice (more precisely, to the village of Ganiska , operation started in 1966 - see the broad gauge line Uzhhorod - Kosice )
- Chop - Trebishov (more precisely, to the village of Dobra )
On November 25, 2008, Russia , Ukraine, and Slovakia signed a trilateral memorandum on laying a broad gauge on the border with Austria . On April 30, 2009, Austrian Chancellor Werner Faiman announced that his government supported construction from the Austrian-Slovak border to Vienna .
