Biography

He graduated from the 24th school of the Bauman district of Moscow.

In 1935 he became the winner of one of the first mathematical olympiads in the city of Moscow.

From 1936 to 1941 he studied at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University. Lomonosov . After graduation, he served in the Soviet Army — he taught higher mathematics at one of the military academies.

After demobilization from the army in 1945 he entered the graduate school of Moscow State University. Lomonosov, where his leader, as in his student years, was Alexander Osipovich Gelfond .

In 1948 he defended his thesis, in 1953 - a doctoral thesis. Since 1948 he worked at the Institute of Mathematics. V.A. He also taught at MVTU im. Bauman, at the Energy Institute and at the Moscow Pedagogical Institute.

Scientific activity

Nikolai Mikhailovich Korobov conducted research in the field of number theory. He is the author of 60 scientific papers, including two monographs. 20 of his students became candidates of science, two of them - doctors of science. Prize winner P.L. Chebyshev Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
