Geography

The village is located on the river Ikryanoy.

History

It was founded in 1836. In 1966 it was renamed to Volunteer , in 2004 the old name was returned.

Population

The population of the 2001 census is 1,490 people.

Infrastructure

There are eight streets in Epiphany: Pervomaiskaya (main street), Kapitan Akimov (formerly Oktyabrskaya, renamed in honor of the fellow villager Vasily Akimov, who died heroically in the Afghan war), Shevchenko, Gorky, Pushkin, Shchors, Naberezhnaya, Lesnaya. In the Epiphany there are 644 yards. Also in the village there is a school, a kindergarten, a house of culture, FAP (feldsher-midwife point). In 1999, a church was opened on the site of an old shooting gallery.

The main direction of the economy is the cultivation of grain, industrial and forage crops. Meat and dairy farming is developed.
