History
The Bugas village was founded in 1802, originally had the name Bugasu from 1802 to 1812, was renamed Bugass in 1812, in Maksimovka in 1959, and the Bugas name was returned to the village in 1993.
It is believed that the founders of the village were several families - immigrants from the village of Bolshaya Karakuba (Argin), now the village of Razdolnoye, Donetsk region. Of the names that have come down to us are Calus Gabriel, the Peftibai brothers. Later, the village was partially replenished by immigrants from other settlements of the Sea of Azov and Northern Greece . In the center of the village is the most important spring (pigad). This krinitsa gave the name to the village of Bugas. “Bug” in Hellenic is a bull, “su” in Turkic is water. Here, the Greek immigrants two centuries ago saw bulls drinking water, and decided to settle in these places. [one]
In 1810, with the construction of the temple, the settlement acquired the status of a village. For unknown reasons, in all official papers until 1925 [2] the village of Bugas appeared under the name Volnovakha (not to be confused with the district center - the city of Volnovakha , which arose much later, in the laying year of the building of the railway station of the railway station in 1881, combining the two villages of Karlovka and Platonovka , almost 80 years after the emergence of the village of Bugas). Before the revolution of 1917, there were 323 yards; all the inhabitants of the village were engaged in agriculture and livestock raising.
