Geographical position
Located 10 km from the regional center and the railway station Artyomovsk.
History
Zaitsevo was founded at the beginning of the XIX century. As a settlement of the Bakhmut district of the Yekaterinoslav province of the Russian Empire, Soviet power was established in December 1917.
276 villagers participated in the Great Patriotic War, 250 gave their lives for the liberation of our Motherland, 212 people were awarded orders and medals.
A monument to the dead soldiers-liberators of the village was erected.
The village has a secondary school, a cultural center , a library, a feldsher point, a nursery garden, three shops, a post office.
On November 19, 2016, the village’s military civil administration was created [1] .
