Pano-Panaya ( Greek Πάνω Παναγιά ) is a village in Cyprus , located at an altitude of 800 m on the Paphos mountain range. Coordinates: 34 ° 54′S. 32 ° 37′E. Archbishop Makarios III , the first president of the Republic of Cyprus , was born in Pano Panaye. The village is known for its unique wildlife, which is strictly protected by Cyprus law and international laws.
