It is formed on the territory of the Michelau im Steigerwald community after the confluence of two rivers - the Grundbach and the Holzbach. In the upper reaches, the river is called Aubach [2] . The mouth of Volkakh is located in the community of the same name - in Volkakh [3] . In describing his characteristics, Volkach is sometimes considered together with the Holzbach River [1] .
