Brunau ( German Brunau ) - a river in Germany , flows through the Luneburg Heath in Lower Saxony , is a left tributary of the Lue River. The length of the river is 10.27 kilometers, [1] the basin area is 42.86 km² [1] .

It originates south of the Niederhaverbeck community, a member of the Bispingen municipality, in the nature reserve . Before crossing the A7 motorway , it spills into a small lake. Brunau's water quality deteriorates from class II (moderate pollution) at the source to class II-III (critical pollution) throughout the second half of the river [2] .
