The village is located 3 km from the administrative center of the county of Miechow and 35 km from the administrative center of the province of Krakow [3] .
The population is about 490 people.
In 1975 - 1998, it was part of the Kielce Voivodeship, the administrative center of which was the city of Kielce (it was located in the territories adjacent to the territories administratively subordinate to Krakow ). Since 1999, part of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship .
In the village there is an elementary school named after the Carpathian Volunteers-Defenders of Tobruk (100 students).
