The Society of "Public Choice" ( English Public Choice Society ) - an international scientific organization that brings together scientists, economists, sociologists and political scientists. The organization was founded in 1964 by G. Tullock and J. Buchanan with the aim of developing the theory of public choice . The society publishes the magazine Public Choice. The Society holds annual meetings in New Orleans ( Louisiana ). In 2006 , the meeting was held from March 30 to April 2 at the New Orleans Intercontinental Hotel.
