Flag Description
“The flag of the city of Svobodny is a rectangular panel of three horizontal stripes: the upper - white, the middle - yellow, the lower - blue. The ratio of the width of the flag to its length is 2: 3.
The upper horizontal strip (1/2 of the flag width) is white and symbolizes the city of Svobodny.
The middle horizontal strip (1/5 of the flag's width) is yellow and symbolizes the oldest district of the city - Surazhevka.
The lower horizontal strip (3/10 of the flag width) is blue and separated from the middle horizontal strip by a white wavy belt resembling a river wave (with four ridges), whose width is 1/15 of the flag width. The blue color symbolizes the Zeya River, on the banks of which the city of Svobodny is located. ”
