Geography
The village is located on the left bank of the Yamansu River, near the border with Dagestan , 3.5 km north of the regional center - Nozhai-Yurt , 87 km south-east of the city of Grozny and 22 km south-west of Khasavyurt .
The nearest settlements: in the north-west - the villages of New Zamay-Yurt and Zamay-Yurt , in the north-east - the village of Yamansu , in the south - the village of Nozhai-Yurt and in the south-west - the village of Betty-Mokhk [4] .
History
From 1944 to 1958, during the deportation of Chechens and Ingush and the abolition of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the village was called Akhatli (Akhatl) [5] [6] .
