Biography
Club career
In DUFL he played for Poltava clubs: DYuSSh named after I. Gorpinka, “ Vorskla ” and “Young”. The first trainer is Alexey Vishnevetsky [2] . In 2006 he hit the Vorskla double. In the main squad debuted on November 21, 2009 in the match against Kiev Obolon (3: 2) [3] , Alexander played the whole match.
In January 2015, he moved to Mariupol " Illichivets " as a free agent [4] . In the summer of 2015, he became a player of Alexandria [5] . In the new team took 5 number. At the end of the 2015/16 season, information appeared that Matveyev would leave the team’s camp [6] . In the summer of 2016, Alexander even trained with the Poltava club [7] , but nevertheless fell into the Alexandria application for the 2016/17 season [8] .
Team Career
For the first time in the youth team of Ukraine under the age of 21 he was called up by Pavel Yakovenko in January 2009 for a friendly match against Turkey [9] . He made his debut in the youth team on February 10, 2009 in a match against Turkey (2: 2) [10] , Matveev won the entire match. Yakovenko also invited Matveyev to the tournament in memory of Valery Lobanovsky in August 2009 [11] . Ukraine won the first match against Iran (2: 1) [12] , Alexander came in 64 minutes instead of Yaroslav Rakitsky . In the final, Ukraine beat Turkey (1: 0) and won the tournament [13] , Matveev came out in stoppage time instead of Nikolai Morozyuk .
