Volkov pereulok - a street in the center of Moscow , on Presnya . It starts from Krasnaya Presnya Street , runs north along the western edge of the Moscow Zoo and overlooks Zoological Lane opposite Novopresnensky Lane .

Name Origin
The name arose at the end of the 18th century by the name of the homeowners of the Volkov brothers.

- No. 5 - a residential building. Here in the years 1963-1980, the actor Simon Sokolovsky lived [1] .
- No. 7/9, p. 2 - publishing and printing company "Polygraphinfoprom"; Scientific and Technical Society of Russian Press Workers;
- No. 7/9, p. 5 - the main house of the city estate of P. A. Zubov - P. N. Zubov - A. K. Martos (1885-1887, architects I. T. Vladimirov , F. P. Skomoroshenko ). The building is one of the few surviving examples of the historical buildings of the Presnensky district. According to " Archnadzor " the building is owned by Zurab Tsereteli , in 2010 an unauthorized extension was built to the building [2] .
- No. 11 - panel residential building. Football player Lev Yashin visited his relatives there [3] .
- No. 13 - in the quarter Number 3 of the house was the architect Yaroslav Kositsky, in the upper floor lived with his family artist Konstantin Gradopolov. During the war, a bomb exploded in the courtyard of the house [3] .
- No. 15 - the mansion of V. K. Melnikov , monument of architecture (regional) . A stone and wooden Art Nouveau house with stucco (preserved) and ceramic (lost) decor [4] ; one of the first independent buildings of the architect V. D. Adamovich (1904 or 1905) [5] . The mansion, owned by hereditary honorary citizen V.K. Melnikov, co-owner of the trading house "V. K. Melnikov, N. I. Kusakov and Co. ”, is part of the ensemble of a small estate, which has preserved all the outbuildings and the planning structure. Since Soviet times, a tuberculosis dispensary has been located here. After his eviction in 2014, the building is empty, valuable interiors are destroyed. May 24, 2015 due to a fire in a wooden cafe next door, the mansion was damaged: the roof and the attic were damaged. Inside, the building did not burn, but was completely spilled with water [6] . In 2016, the house became a monument of regional importance [6] ; On February 16, 2017, the city-planning and land commission of the city of Moscow approved the draft city-planning plan for the land plot at Volkov per., Vl. 15, p. 1, 2, 3 for the restoration of existing facilities [7] . According to the chairman of Moskomstroyinvest Konstantin Timofeev, all the buildings of the estate (p. 1,2,3) will be restored at the expense of the investor, after performing repair and restoration work, he will become the owner of the mansion [8] .
