It is the administrative center of the Andreevsky village council, which, in addition, includes the villages of Dakhno , Ivanovka , Novoselskoye , Sakhno , Sofievka and Uspenovka .
Geographical position
The urban-type settlement Andreevka is located on the banks of the Kiltichia River at the confluence of the Kamyshevataya River, and the village of Uspenovka adjoins downstream.
History
1809 - date of foundation.
According to 1864, there were 935 yards and 7262 people lived here.
As of 1890, Andreevka was a large village in the Berdyansk district of the Tauride province , there were 1397 courtyards and 9,377 inhabitants, there were three rural schools, 4 trading shops, 2 inns, a wine warehouse, a bazaar, two Orthodox churches and a Jewish prayer house, regularly held fairs [2] .
In 1907, the separation of the village of Andreevka into two villages of Andreevka and Uspenovka took place.
On the eve of the First World War, Andreevka was a fairly large settlement. There were 1618 courtyards and about 16.4 thousand people.
In 1935, the village of Andreevka became the center of the Andreevsky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, in 1939 the Andreevsky district was transferred to the Zaporizhzhya region.
During the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1943. The village was under German occupation .
In 1957, it was granted the status of an urban-type settlement .
In 1962, the Andreevsky district was abolished.
As of the beginning of 1978, there was a gas processing plant, a bread factory, a sewing factory, a workshop for reinforced concrete products and cinder blocks of the Balakley building materials factory, industrial complex, a public center, three secondary schools, three medical institutions, a Culture House, a club, a cinema, 10 libraries [ 3] .
In 1989, the population was 4,017 people [4] , according to the 2001 census - 3,307 people. As of January 1, 2013, the population was 2,976 people [5] .
