Description
Large beetles up to 60 mm long, brown and dark brown in color. The antennae in males are somewhat longer than the body, in the female more or less extend beyond the middle of the elytra. 1st segment very short, but not reaching base of pronotum, equal in length to 4th and 5th together.
Sexual dimorphism is pronounced not only in the length of the antennae, but also in the shape and sculpture of the pronotum, sculpture of the forelegs and elytra, prothorax and abdomen.
Views
The genus has only three species, dramatically different from each other. Individual authors distinguish each species as a special subgenus.
