Biography
Iskra Babich was born on January 10, 1938 in Sochi . In 1956 she graduated from the directing department of VGIK (workshop of Yu. E. Geniki ). She was a favorite student of I.A. Pyryev .
I. Babich spent the last years of her life in a house in the village of Poplevino, Ryazhsky District, Ryazan Region , then left for Moscow in the hope of curing cancer .
I. L. Babich died on August 5, 2001 . She was buried in Moscow at the Khovansky cemetery [1] .
