Story
Adelheid , she ’s Heidi , an orphan girl who is taken care of in Aien Däte in Mayenfeld, Switzerland . Aunt gets a job in Frankfurt and takes the 8-year-old Heidi to his grandfather. He is not at odds with the inhabitants of his native village, and therefore lives in a pasture on a pasture , - he was nicknamed “Alp-Oi” (“Alpine Grandfather” in the Graubünden dialect ).
At first, the grandfather was dissatisfied with Heidi's arrival, but over time the girl manages to overcome his external estrangement and heal the soul into the soul: with him and his best friend, the goat shepherd, or as he was called by the grandfather Heidi “lord of the goats” Peter
Three years later, Diete returns and transports Heidi to Frankfurt to an 11-year-old girl with a disability named Clara Sesemann. Heidi has been living with Clara for a year, repeatedly encountering the strict housekeeper of the Sesemann family, Frau Rottenmeyer, - the girl is very homesick. The comfort of her is literacy, motivated by the desire to return home and read to the blind grandmother of Peter. The shaken health of the child and several cases of sleepwalking (she inherited a tendency to epilepsy from her mother) convince Dr. Clara to send Heidi back to grandfather.
The return of the granddaughter prompts the grandfather to go down to the village - his solitude comes to an end.
Heidi and Clara write letters to each other. A doctor who visits Heidi and grandfather recommends Clara to travel and visit her friend. Meanwhile, Heidi teaches Peter to read.
Clara arrives next year and spends a wonderful summer with Heidi. She feels better with goat's milk and fresh mountain air, but Peter, out of jealousy, dumps her empty wheelchair from the mountain. Later in the film, Heidi tries to catch up with the stroller and falls behind it into the cliff. Fortunately, her grandfather and Peter save the girl. Clara gets up for her friend in fright. And everyone, seeing this, begins to teach her to walk without a stroller, and Clara succeeds. Grandmother and father are overjoyed when they see Clara walking. The rich family of Clara promises to give Heidi a shelter and provide it, in case if for some reason grandfather will not be able to do it.
In the book, the chair simply falls from the mountain and breaks, but despite its absence, the grandfather in his arms carries Clara to the mountains, her inner mood changes there, and she takes the first steps. Then he and Heidi and grandfather arrange a surprise for Klarin’s relatives, who are overjoyed that their child can walk. Heidi will be taken care of by the doctor who treated Clara and tragically lost his own family. He moves to live in a village.
