History
Broadcasting in Eretz Yisrael was launched on March 30, 1936 by the Palestine Broadcasting Service (PBS, in Hebrew, “Resolve Hashidur Ha Palestine”), which acted as a department of the British Mandate Administration in Palestine [1 ] [2] [3] . The first broadcast was from a studio located in the Jerusalem Palace Hotel. As the end of World War II was approaching, the friction between Yishuv and the mandate authorities intensified, which affected the attitude towards PBS programs. In the last days of the mandate, there was a paradoxical situation when Jewish news editors shared their time between the Palestinian Broadcasting Service and the underground Hagana radio station, and the censors assigned to oversee PBS broadcasts ensured that the secrets of the Jewish underground were not accidentally disclosed [1] . After the adoption of the Law on an independent structure in 1965, which is under public administration - “ Resolve Hashidur ” [4] .
