Thracian Sea ( Greek Θρακικό πέλαγος ; other Greek речρηίκιον πέλαγος [1] , Latin Macedonicum mare, Thracium mare [2] , Turkish . Trakya Denizi ) - the ancient name of the northern part of the Aegean along the coast of 3 Phra Halkidiki Peninsula and Gallipoli Peninsula . From the south it is bounded by the island of Lemnos .
Salinity is 35 ‰ .
The Sea of Marmara was also called the Thracian Sea [4] .
Thracian Islands
In addition to the island of Lemnos (Greece), which is the formal border of the Thracian Sea, there are three more large islands:
- Thassos (Greece)
- Samothrace (Greece)
- Gökçeada (Turkey)
