Tape Chart (Biochemistry)

A tape chart is a schematic three-dimensional image of the structure of a protein. Alpha-spirals in the diagram are depicted as ribbons, beta-sheets are represented by arrows, random spirals are represented by lines or thin tubes. The direction in which the chain is viewed can be displayed by smoothly changing the color of the ribbon.
