The 2010 World Figure Skating Championships ( Eng. 2010 World Figure Skating Championships ) is an international tournament organized by the International Skating Union of the World Figure Skaters in the 2009-2010 season. Athletes competed in men's and women 's singles, pairs skating , and ice dancing .

The championship was held in Turin ( Italy ) at the Palavela Arena from March 22 to March 28, 2010 [1] .
Golden Waltz was chosen as obligatory dance [2] .

Records
- Canadian dance duo Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir set a new world record for an original dance score of 70.27 points. The previous highest achievement belonged to the Russians Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov , they were set at the 2005 World Championships and accounted for 68.67 points.
- Daisuke Takahashi became the first Japanese and Asian single figure skater to win the world title.
- It was the record one hundredth world figure skating championship.
